Case study · GrandPitstop, two-wheeler accessories maker in Delhi
From counting stock by hand to stock, QC and production in TranZact
How a Delhi two-wheeler accessories maker stopped counting stock by hand and runs inward QC, production and dispatch in TranZact.
Before
GrandPitstop makes accessories for bikes and is moving into four-wheelers. It sells to dealers, to OEMs and online.
Parts from vendors land in the raw material area, get an inward QC, and then go to the production line. Most of this ran by hand. To know the stock, someone had to go and count it.
The owner wanted the line's work in progress, finished goods and reorder points to show up without anyone counting.
Right now everything here is happening physically. I want it to be software-driven, so transparency will be much higher, and at the end of the month, whenever required, if I want to fetch data, it comes out easily.Akshay BhattGrandPitstop (translated from Hindi)

Questions owners ask
Can we check parts when they arrive from vendors?
Yes. GrandPitstop records a quality inspection at inward in TranZact before parts go to the line.
Can production update stock without a manual count?
GrandPitstop logs production entries in TranZact, so finished goods are added and raw material is used up in the system.
