Case study · Peppergami Food Labs, badam drink mix manufacturer in Bangalore

Batch production and quality checks in one system

How a Bangalore badam drink mix manufacturer moved from Excel to batch production, QC and orders in TranZact.

CityBangalore, KarnatakaOn TranZact sinceFebruary 2026

Before

The old wayExcel sheets

Peppergami Food Labs makes badam drink mix and is adding new products. Stock, production and planning lived in Excel. The process was there, but there was "a slight disconnect" between the team members.

Production was planned monthly from a sales forecast and reviewed every week. Material delays were hard to read, so it was hard to know when to order and from whom. Orders arrived from several places, some of them on WhatsApp.

Food needs batch control. Raw material is checked when it arrives, again during production, and once more before finished goods are stocked.

The connect that I'm looking for is between the master production schedule and the material requirement planning.

Questions owners ask

Can TranZact track batches for a food product?

Yes. Peppergami Food Labs records each batch in TranZact, from the semi-finished powder to the packed finished good. Quality inspections are recorded in TranZact too.

How do we record spillage and scrap?

Peppergami Food Labs records scrap and spillage against the batch. Resaleable spillage and non-physical loss can be kept as separate items, so resaleable stock isn't inflated.
