Two units, recycled trim and production entries in TranZact

How a Coimbatore maker of EPE foam and induction seals moved production off one-person Tally entries into BOMs and production in TranZact.

Before

The old wayPaper trail

Poly Seals runs two units. Unit one pre-mixes polyethylene granules with additives and extrudes foam into rolls, some of which are punched into gaskets. Trim waste is ground and mixed back into the next batch. Unit two slits aluminium foil and paperboard, prints the foil and wax-laminates the two into induction sealing wads.

Some items are made to order and some to stock. Everything was entered in Tally: one person made the production entries, another handled accounts, sales and invoices.

We all use Tally. But production entries are made by one person, and accounts and related sales, invoice and everything is made by one person.

What changed

  1. BOMs for both units, so production entries use up the right raw material.

  2. Production entries logged in TranZact.

  3. Orders to invoice

Sales orders and invoices synced to Tally.

  4. Purchase from the plan

Indents, purchase orders, inward and GRN, with quality inspections.

What they use TranZact for today

As of October 2026, Poly Seals uses TranZact to:

  • Maintain BOMs and log production entries

  • Raise sales orders and invoices, synced to Tally

  • Raise indents, create purchase orders and receive material through GRNs

  • Record quality inspections

Questions owners ask

Can TranZact handle two units with different processes?

Poly Seals runs foam extrusion in one unit and induction wad lamination in the other. It keeps BOMs for both and logs production entries in TranZact.

Do we still need Tally?

Poly Seals keeps its accounts in Tally. Invoices raised in TranZact sync to Tally.
