Case study · Ranko Metals, copper pipe and fittings maker in Hyderabad
From heavy Google Sheets to orders, dispatch and purchase in TranZact
How a Hyderabad copper pipe maker moved off slow Google Sheets into orders, dispatch and purchase in TranZact.
Before
Ranko Metals makes copper pipes and fittings, with many SKUs and many machines. Billing and accounts ran in Tally.
The team had moved from hand-kept records to Google Sheets. Stock levels were set from consumption and lead time, colour-coded to show when to reorder. Pending orders and material needs came out of the sheets too.
As the data grew, the sheets got slower and started to glitch.
As the data is getting heavier, it is getting slower, and the chances of glitches keep going up. So we want to move to software like this. We want it to be more smooth.Prashant BohraRanko Metals (translated from Hindi; last line in English)
