Case study · Triumph Engineers & Associates, seals and advanced plastics maker in Bangalore

One order, one system, from quotation to dispatch

How a Bangalore maker of elastomeric seals and PTFE parts stopped re-typing orders from Tally into Excel and runs them in TranZact.

Before

The old wayExcel sheets

Triumph started in 1987 and makes seals and advanced plastic components. Powders are compression moulded, go into the furnace, are machined and then assembled. Customers often ask for a known part with a change, so many parts are made for one customer.

Over the years the company moved from paper and Excel through several software packages, then back to Tally. Tally kept the accounts but did not help run the plant or the engineering side.

An order went into Tally, then by hand into Excel, and again into separate drawing, production and quality records.

When the order comes in, the order acceptance is in Tally, it's manually fed into Excel, then this is again fed into the drawing database, into the production database, into the quality database.

What changed

  1. Quotation to dispatch in TranZact

Quotations, sales orders, packing lists and invoices.

  2. Purchase to stock

Indents, purchase orders, inward and GRN, with quality inspections.

  3. BOMs and production entries in TranZact, with work orders from each sales order.

  4. Tally sync for the accounts team. Its sister company, Diamant Triumph Metallplastic, runs on TranZact too.

What they use TranZact for today

As of October 2026, Triumph Engineers & Associates uses TranZact to:

  • Send quotations and raise sales orders, packing lists and invoices, synced to Tally

  • Create purchase orders and receive material through GRNs

  • Record quality inspections

  • Maintain BOMs and log production entries against work orders

Questions owners ask

Can TranZact handle custom parts made for one customer?

Triumph makes many customer-specific parts. It keeps BOMs in TranZact and runs each order from quotation to dispatch there.

Do we still need Tally?

Triumph keeps its accounts in Tally. Invoices from TranZact sync to Tally for the accounts team.
