Before

The old wayPaper trail

Unidos Exports designs and makes display units that FMCG brands put in stores. Each job starts as a 3D design, then a physical sample from the same machines that do production.

For production, the design team plans which sheet sizes the job needs and nests the parts to keep off-cuts low. Large print runs go out for offset printing; smaller ones are printed in-house on digital machines. Printed sheets are cut on a digital cutting table, then the parts are put together by hand.

Almost every order is a new product, and the sheet range grows with it.

My most expensive raw material is my sheet, and that is where the most mess happens. I have an ever-increasing sheet quantity: every job brings a new sheet, of a different size, a different colour, a different density.
