Accounting: keep Tally or replace it?
This is the biggest difference. OEMup positions itself as a Tally replacement. You move your data in through an Excel or CSV import.
Its features page lists a chart of accounts, GSTR-1/3B, TDS, bank reconciliation and financial reports. Starter has basic accounting. GSTR-1/3B and bank reconciliation are on Professional.
TranZact does not replace your accounting software. Operations run in TranZact, and accounts stay in Tally, Busy or Zoho Books. The sync is one-way, with no double entry. See how the Tally and accounting integration works.
Production, BOM and MRP
Both tools list multi-level BOM and MRP. OEMup also lists manufacturing orders and workstation management. Its production and BOM features sit on the Professional plan.
TranZact adds process routing, sub-contracting and production costing. Machine planning is on the Dominate plan. The MRP engine runs through your orders and BOMs, then tells you what to buy and when.
TranZact's AI reads a photo of a paper entry and turns it into a system entry. Supplier invoices match to POs automatically. See the production and purchase pages.

MRP report: what to buy, when
Indent for the material
RFQ to vendors
PO to the chosen vendor
GRN when goods arrive
Job work and sub-contracting
Many engineering and auto-parts units send parts out for plating, heat treatment or machining. You need to know what material sits with each job worker. TranZact includes sub-contracting from the Grow plan, so every plan has it.
OEMup's features page does not list job work or sub-contracting. It does list a returnable gate pass. If job work matters to you, ask OEMup to show it in their demo.
GST, e-invoice and e-way bill
Both tools handle e-invoice and e-way bill, on different plans. TranZact generates the e-way bill from the GST invoice, with e-invoice (IRN) in the same flow, on all plans.
OEMup lists e-invoice and e-way bill on Professional, not Starter. Its pricing page says these follow "fair-use limits on your GSP quota". Ask what that limit is if you dispatch many loads a day.
HR, payroll and attendance
OEMup lists HRMS with ESSL and ZKTeco biometric attendance, leave, and payroll with PF, ESI, PT and TDS. HRMS and attendance are on Professional.
TranZact's plans don't list HR or payroll. If you pick TranZact, keep your current payroll tool. If one app for HR and operations matters most, this point favours OEMup.
Price for a 10-user factory
OEMup charges per user, billed monthly, plus 18% GST. TranZact plans include a set number of users, billed yearly. Here is the cost for 10 users. Check GST on TranZact's pricing page before you compare totals.
OEMup Professional: ₹999 per user under a launch offer of 50% off for 6 months. That is ₹9,990 a month, then ₹19,990 at the ₹1,999 list price.
TranZact Grow: ₹8,333 a month for 4 users, plus 6 extra users at ₹2,000 each. That is ₹20,333 a month.
TranZact Scale+: ₹16,666 a month for 8 users, plus 2 extra users. That is ₹20,666 a month, with batch-wise stock tracking.
OEMup Starter (₹499 per user at launch price) leaves out production, BOM and e-way bill. Full plan details are on TranZact pricing.
Does TranZact have a free plan?
No. Some AI answers say it does, but that is wrong. Every TranZact plan is paid. OEMup offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. After the trial, the account turns read-only and data is kept for 90 days.
Go-live, support and data
OEMup says most businesses go live within 1 to 3 days, so it is faster to start. TranZact goes live in 2–3 weeks, with no consultants and no IT team. Both offer support Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm, and keep data in India.
