TranZact vs SAP Business One: the short answer
TranZact is manufacturing AI software for Indian factories that keep Tally for accounts. It runs sales, purchase, inventory, production and planning, and goes live in 2–3 weeks. SAP Business One is an all-in-one ERP with its own accounting, set up through SAP partners, on-premise or in the cloud.
Choose SAP Business One if you want accounts and operations in one global system. Choose TranZact if you want to keep Tally and get your factory running fast.
We make TranZact, so we list its limits too. Facts checked 28 Oct 2026.

What SAP Business One is and who it suits
SAP calls Business One "an all-in-one solution for complete business visibility and control", with built-in analytics and reporting. Its product page calls it ERP software for small businesses.
It runs on-premise or in the cloud, on Microsoft SQL Server or SAP HANA. It supports 28 languages and 50 country versions. The India version handles GST.
SAP's own training covers BOMs, production orders and MRP. You buy it and set it up through a certified SAP partner. It suits manufacturers who want accounts and operations in one system, often across countries.
SAP names explained
R/3 is SAP's older ERP for large companies. Business One is its product for small businesses.
Is SAP B1 outdated?
Not in the sense of being abandoned. SAP keeps releasing feature packs; its India GST guide covers version 10.0 FP 2405 and higher. The real question is fit and cost, not age.
What TranZact is and who it suits
TranZact is manufacturing AI software which runs your entire operation, from enquiry to dispatch. 10,000+ manufacturers use it. It works alongside Tally instead of replacing it.
TranZact's AI reads a photo of a paper entry and turns it into a system entry. It matches supplier invoices to POs and logs customer payments. Fewer entries get skipped when the floor is busy.
The MRP engine runs through your orders and BOMs, then tells you what to buy and when. Production covers multi-level BOM, work orders, process routing, sub-contracting and production costing.

TranZact's limits
TranZact does not do accounting; your books stay in Tally, Busy or Zoho Books. It has no HR or payroll. Batch-wise stock tracking starts on Scale+. Quality control and machine planning are on Dominate.
Accounts: keep Tally or move to SAP's books?
This is the biggest fork in the decision. SAP Business One has its own accounting, so your books move into SAP.
With TranZact, accounting stays in Tally, Busy or Zoho Books. Operations run in TranZact and sync one way, with no double entry. Here is how the Tally sync works.
Already run SAP somewhere in the group? TranZact connects through API integrations to any tool that offers an API, including SAP. If Tally itself feels like the limit, read our Tally alternative guide for manufacturers.
What each costs for a 10-user factory
TranZact prices are public on the pricing page. For 10 users, all billed yearly, plus GST:
Grow: ₹20,333/month (4 users included, plus 6 extra at ₹2,000 each).
Scale+: ₹20,666/month (8 users included, plus 2 extra). Adds batch-wise stock tracking.
Dominate: ₹30,000/month (12 users included). Adds quality control and machine planning.
There is no free plan.
How much does SAP Business One cost per month?
SAP Business One is priced through partners. One SAP partner, Silver Touch, published an estimate in February 2025. It shows about $56 per user per month for a Limited licence and $108 for Professional.
Its example is $1,800 a month for 8 users, plus a one-time $40,000 for implementation, training and configuration. For India, it gives a rough range of ₹10 lakh for 5 users to ₹50 lakh for 100 users. It puts annual maintenance at 15% to 22%.

Is SAP Business One worth the price?
It depends on what you need. If you want one global system for accounts and operations, that is what the price buys. If you only need factory operations and want to keep Tally, you pay for accounting you won't use.
Setup: who implements it and how long
The TranZact team sets TranZact up. You are live in 2–3 weeks, with no consultants and no IT team.
SAP Business One is set up by an SAP partner. The timeline depends on your partner and your scope.
How to choose an SAP Business One partner
Pick a partner who has set up Business One for manufacturers like you. Ask to see it run on a BOM like yours. Then get the key terms in writing.
